Job overview
We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated cardiac device physiologist/scientist to join our dedicated and friendly team at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with BHRS or IBHRE accreditation and a minimum of three years post BSc (or equivalent) qualification experience.
Consideration would be given to Band 6 Clinical Physiologists with a range of clinical experience in cardiology and a proven track record in invasive cardiology.
Pay scale will be adjusted to reflect skills and experience.
Main duties of the job
To provide a highly specialist clinical technical service in the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) sections of the department.
To assist in the development of the Cardiac Rhythm Management Service.
Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Provide specialist training and supervision of less experienced staff.
The post will be based within the Cardiac Catheter Suite / Clinical Measurement Department at the Royal Derby Hospital.

Knowledge Skills Experience
* Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification and experience.
* Significant post-graduate experience as Senior Clinical Physiologist.
* Must meet requirements for acceptance on state register.
* Must hold BSE/HRUK or equivalent.
Communication
* Excellent communication skills with patients/staff/colleagues.
* Education and training skills with experience of training and assessment.
