Due to their continued success, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Safety programme throughout the business.

The role at a glance…
1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective safety program, ensuring compliance with all H&S legislation.
2. Implementing the Company’s health and safety policy and procedures, making recommendations for changes to the policies and associated processes and systems following review and legislative updates.
3. Arranging H&S audits and inspections as required to identify and minimise the risk to the company.
4. Benchmarking and ensuring H&S best practices are shared across the business.
5. Communicating changes in H&S legislation to Directors, Managers, and all other staff.
6. Identifying safety training needs, organising, holding, and coordinating safety training courses, and preparing training material where appropriate.
7. Coordinating the delivery of the H&S site visit audit program.
8. Managing the Company’s H&S Management System.
9. Involvement in the compilation of in-house product training courses.
10. Evaluating accident & incident forms, surveys, and audits to establish root causes, working with Leadership to formulate a plan of action to remedy.
11. Working knowledge of Construction (Design & Management) 2015 and ensuring the Company is compliant in relation to CDM requirements.
12. Maintaining H&S accreditations i.e. CHAS, Safe Contractor & Constructionline.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience of H&S experience at Management level. (Essential)
2. NEBOSH qualified with working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 (Essential)
3. National, logical, and flexible approach. (Essential)
4. Experience from a construction/manufacturing background (Highly desirable)
