Business Development Manager – IT Networking & Infrastructure Solutions

The Role:
As a Business Development Manager your primary responsibility will be to promote and sell our core IT and infrastructure services portfolio to clients in our target market sectors. You will focus on generating new business and managing relationships, using a consultative sales approach.
We provide IT and infrastructure solutions to some of the world’s leading financial and technology companies, supporting both office and data centre environments. Your role will be to engage with end-users in these sectors, promoting our brand and services, and securing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in an innovative manner.
* Promote and sell IT Networking Infrastructure, WiFi, Data Cabling, and Managed Services.
* Meet or exceed annual sales targets as set by the Sales Director.
* Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring they are aware of the full range of services offered by Technical Global Solutions.
* Build strong relationships with key clients and develop strategic account plans.
* Manage the entire sales process, including responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), preparing proposals, and delivering professional and timely documentation.
* Monitor service levels and escalate issues as necessary to ensure client satisfaction.
* Collaborate with external suppliers on pre-sales commercial issues.
* Work closely with technical subject matter experts and in-house marketing resources to support your sales efforts.
* Location:
While our head office is in Nottingham, this is a remote role. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK and will work from home when not visiting customer sites. A full driving license and business insurance are required.
Qualifications and Experience:
o 3-4 years of experience in IT Networking Infrastructure, WiFi, Data Cabling, and Managed Services .
o Strong sales skills, including experience in opening and closing deals.
o In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure solutions and the broader IT industry.
o Familiarity with the RFP process and sales lifecycles.
o Experience with CRM systems to track and manage sales opportunities.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong results-oriented mindset.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
o Self-motivated, dynamic, and able to perform well under pressure.
Salary:
£50,000 to £80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
