Job Title: Band 8a/b Psychologist Band: 8a/b Location : Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Working Hours: 37.5 An exciting new opportunity has been made available for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our esteemed client’s dynamic team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates. What will your responsibilities be? You will work in the Peterborough based team who currently consist of some limited psychology support from other localities and OT staff. You would be the most senior clinician in the stepped care therapy local team, though you have peers in other localities in the Trust. Alongside your clinical work, where you will use your advance clinical skill set, you will supervise any psychological therapists clinically and operationally and OT staff operationally. There are excellent networks for collaboration and CPD. Clinical space at City care centre is of a high calibre and parking in close walking distance, as is the Train station. The primary focus would be to ensure delivery of therapy to older adults who have a range of psychiatric conditions but in the main functional illnesses that are either more complex or with comorbidities than psychological therapies in primary care are able to support. The well-established MDT includes psychiatrist and Nursing. A proportion of working from home is viable- but clinical contacts face to face is essential for a minimum of 3 days a week.
