DG Solutions are a large Dangerous Goods Support and Training organisation across the UK and into Europe.
DGS are a young and dynamic organisation that work with many clients from micro-businesses, to large multinationals helping them with all aspects of advice, support and training for the logistics and shipping of chemicals, batteries, radioactives and explosives.
Due to our expansion, DGS are opening a Welsh Office in early 2024 and are looking for motivated client support team members, who will need to have an outstanding customer service attitude and be able to work independently and part of a team to ensure service excellence to our clients at all times.
This role will be reporting to our national Client Support Co-ordinator to help approach new clients, grow relationships with existing clients, and make bookings and find solutions for issues that our customers are facing.
This role will suit someone who is friendly, professional, flexible and enjoys finding solutions to any issues that our clients may face. All training on the technical and systems aspects of the role will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is confident and knows how to help our clients best.
The role will be office-based and have elements of administration involved, but will also require regular travel around South Wales and South West England to meet current and potential clients, build relationships and generally ensure we are providing excellent service overall.
Company vehicles are available, and a driving license is a must for this role, as is fluent English, good IT skills and telephone manner.
Some of the detailed responsibilities include:
* Maintain upkeep of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System
* Approach target clients to introduce the business and identify any areas where we can add value.
* Make and receive calls to new and existing clients.
* Undertake ad-hoc administration tasks, as and when required.
* Maintain regular data-input and administration of key business systems.
* Work to improve and build on our client experience striving to continually improve our client offering.
* Assist in writing and maintaining process guides and other business documents.
* Liaise with Dangerous Goods Consultants and DGSAs on bookings and client requirements.
* Travel nationally and Internationally if required.
* Any other duties, as required.
Preferred Requirements
* Good knowledge of Supply Chain/Distribution/Logistics Sector
* Previous experience in a clerical or office administration role
* Previous experience working in a client-facing role
* Previous experience with CRM tools and software
* Welsh language would also be advantageous
