About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of academically gifted students, incorporating diverse economic perspectives and methodologies. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including economic models, data analysis, debates, and research projects, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of economic concepts and skills. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and economic scholarship. Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum and resources, integrating current economic issues and research findings. Foster a love of economics in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and to appreciate the complexity of the global economy. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider academic life of the school. Organize and lead economics-related activities, such as debating societies and visits to financial institutions, promoting intellectual engagement and practical application of economic principles. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. Demonstrated ability to teach Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students. A passion for economics and a commitment to fostering economic inquiry and scholarship. Ability to organize and lead economics-related activities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
