About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Ledbury. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the education and lives of young people with diverse learning needs. Initially appointed through an agency, there is a strong possibility for the successful candidate to transition to a permanent school contract commencing in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEN.
* Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and confidence.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
* Engage with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to support student development.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Maths, preferably within an SEN setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN best practices and a commitment to inclusive education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse needs.
Desirable:
* Additional qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs.
* Experience with specific SEN strategies and interventions.
