As part of our continuedgrowth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Bank TeachingAssistant to join our close-knit team at Bramfield HouseSchool located in Halesworth.
About therole
* To work aspart of ‘one team’ to assist in the everyday education and care ofyoung people with special education needs.
* Providing support for pupils within theclassroom with the aim of supporting independence. Assisting theteacher in the delivery of the curriculum.
* Providing specialist SEN, subject or othersupport to pupils.
General Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain individualrelationships with pupils that are consistent, caring andunderstanding.
* Liaise witheducation and care colleagues regarding issues, concerns, orachievements of pupils.
* Contribute to half-termly pupil planning andreviews, including Progress Reports.
* Work one-to-one on specific programs (e.g.behavioural or literacy intervention) whenrequired.
* Supervise ofpupils going to and from class at transition times and when in needof time out.
* Work withpupils at break and lunch times in offering support and supervisionwith recreational activities.
* Present suitable personal standards of behaviourto pupils and act as an appropriate rolemodel.
* Write up or wordprocess incidents and other matters of interest/concernpromptly and to an acceptable standard.
* Maintain confidentiality in all matters relatingto the school, its staff and pupils.
