Support worker wanted to provide support and care for three young men with learning disabilities in their own home in Crownhill, Plymouth. We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing and active people who can work well as part of a team. You will need to be responsible, reliable, organised, flexible and adaptable. The role will involve participating in a person centred supporting three men to help develop their daily living skills, access the local community and assist in activities inside and outside of their home. Support will also consist of accurate daily record keeping, some light duties of cleaning and cooking and personal care will be involved with some areas of manual handling involved. The aim is for staff to provide a caring, safe and effective service that is responsive to the needs of these young men. To work as part of a team to provide high quality care. Personal Characteristics Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one. Ideally have experience of working in a care setting but this is not essential. The ability to keep calm under pressure. The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
