We are looking for an Assistant Product Manager to join us in our Mortgages Supplier Management Team who are responsible for the management of multiple third parties across Mortgages. As an Assistant Product Manager, you will help manage the day to day relationships between Nationwide and our suppliers and play a pivotal role to ensure our supplier relationships are managed in accordance with our risk appetite.

You’ll be responsible for:
Having strong and effective relationships with our suppliers is critical to the success of some of our mortgage products. We are looking for someone to maintain existing third party relationships whilst also supporting new initiatives, ensuring governance and controls are in place.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Ensuring suppliers are managed according to Nationwide’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Framework and that contractual obligations are followed
* Having day to day accountability for the management of suppliers
* Building constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Supporting audit and control testing activities
* Tracking spend against annual plan
* Having detailed knowledge of processes and acting as SME
* Identifying key risks and reporting them to senior managers
* Collaborating with Procurement and other business areas to onboard new suppliers and amend existing contracts
* Conduct regular reviews of contract service performance through the contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
* Providing support to junior members of the team
As a minimum requirement you’ll:
* Be a good relationship builder, able to demonstrate stakeholder management skills.
* Have great attention to detail with the ability to understand information quickly and to apply well-reasoned and balanced judgement in arriving at a decision.
* Be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
* Have good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own work, supporting multiple priorities with prescribed timescales.
* Be proactive and comfortable in making standalone decisions/acting autonomously.
* Have experience in managing risks and controls.
* Have experience of creating processes and implementing them.
* Be able to coach and mentor junior members of the team.
* Be familiar with Nationwide’s Mortgage book and have an awareness of the UK mortgage market.
* Have an understanding of Nationwide’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Framework.
