Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to join our team in Miri, Malaysia. As the Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maximizing profitability. This role requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can effectively lead a team while maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality.
1. Oversee all aspects of restaurant and bar operations, including staff management, inventory control, and financial performance.
2. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
3. Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring high-quality service standards are consistently met.
4. Manage and train staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
5. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menus, ensuring they align with current trends and customer preferences.
6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders with suppliers as needed.
7. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor regulations.
8. Analyze sales data and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
9. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently.
10. Coordinate with other departments to support special events and promotions.
11. Stay informed about industry trends and implement innovative ideas to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications
1. Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant and bar management.
3. Strong knowledge of beverage trends, cocktails, wines, and zero-alcohol options.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and profitability.
6. Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences.
7. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
10. Experience with inventory management and cost control systems.
11. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
12. Demonstrated business acumen and financial management skills.
