Senior Occupational Therapist - Older Peoples Service

This is an exciting role, working in a fast-paced environment within a well-established, multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for individuals who are genuinely warm and engaging, patient-focused, and passionate about working with Older Adults.
We are looking for a part-time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Main Duties of the Job
As an Occupational Therapist in the team, you will support patients who would benefit from occupational therapy intervention.
* You will play a key role in delivering holistic, person-centred assessments and therapeutic interventions.
* This will include offering clinical advice on the assessment and intervention of clients' occupational and functional needs.
* You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
* You will embrace the delivery of best practice guidelines for Mental Health and Occupational Therapy.
* Working as Duty Worker is part of this role.
* You will need to be a dynamic clinician with good interpersonal skills to enable engagement of service users and their families or carers.
* You will be able to make complex decisions, formulate detailed assessments, and person-centred care plans.
* Supporting students during their placement.
* Supervision of junior staff including Occupational Therapists.
* Professional development, learning, supervision, wider support and training is provided.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous and relevant post-registration experience
* Experience of working with Older Adult Patients
Qualifications
* Qualified Occupational Therapist
* Current registration with the relevant professional body, eg NMC, HCPC, Social Work England
* Student Mentorship qualification or willing to undertake this
Other Requirements
* Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post/access to vehicle/drive due to geographical area.
* Has own transport
* Good time keeping
* Knowledge of OT assessments/tools within Mental Health
