Job summary Southend Medical Centre are looking to recruit an experienced locum advanced nurse practitioner to support the clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care. This is a part-time role working 0830-1830 on a Monday and Friday, and possibly can become a long term position. Main duties of the job Deliver a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and abroad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base. Assess, diagnose and treat patients conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate. As an independent prescriber, prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative frame work. Hold a recognised ANP qualification at Masters level and work as an independent nurse prescriber. Professional registration with relevant professional body Post-graduate qualification in specific speciality, or equivalent experience Post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in specialty area. Experience Essential Experienced in primary care and understand the role on ANP in general practice. Work with a high degree of autonomy and be confident in leading in a variety of settings.
