The Gig: Head of Supply Chain

The Lowdown:
We're a fast-growing business with bold ambitions, and we're building an operations team to match. We're looking for an experienced Head of Supply Chain with the energy and vision to execute our supply chain strategies and shape the future of our logistics landscape.
This is a dynamic and broad role with a wide remit and the opportunity to have a significant impact across the business. You'll be responsible for the flow of goods across suppliers and customers, building our logistics and warehousing solutions as we grow being comfortable in both overseeing the team/projects as well as rolling your sleeves up and digging into the details. This will include designing and expanding our distribution network, streamlining and improving our inventory management operations with technology, automation, and effective management, and innovating to keep improving on cost, service, and our commitment to the environment.
Leading our existing logistics team, you’ll report directly to the COO but also work closely with the merchandising and product teams.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day:
1. Developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with company growth objectives and enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
2. Mentoring and developing a high-performing supply chain team.
3. Overseeing and running relevant S&OP processes within the business, ensuring the team and our partners have access to accurate and timely forecasts and information.
4. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with channel owners, merchandising, and product teams.
5. Overseeing relationships and contracts with our 3PL partners, ensuring SLAs and productivities are met and continuous improvements are being made.
6. Developing and enhancing our global logistics network to maximise the on-time and in-full delivery of products.
7. Monitoring inventory levels and accuracy throughout the network to minimise shrinkage.
8. Ensuring the adoption and optimal usage of supply chain technologies, including ERP systems, WMS portals, and SCM software.
9. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in the supply chain.
10. Developing, managing, and overseeing the supply chain budget.
11. Establishing, monitoring, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations.
What you will bring:
1. Extensive experience in supply chain management, ideally with robust, proven experience in a leadership role within fast-growth businesses in the retail/lifestyle goods sectors.
2. Proven track record of managing international 3PLs and complex supply chains in an omni-channel environment.
3. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficient in supply chain software and tools, including ERP systems.
6. Knowledge of international trade, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
7. Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
8. Commitment to sustainability and ethical practices in business.
9. To be able to travel to our 3PL partner sites; our UK centre is based in the Midlands and we will have DCs in EU and US. Ad hoc trips to London and HQ based on team need will be required. We anticipate this role involving up to 20% travel.
