We're working with a prominent structural steel company in Halifax that is seeking a dedicated professional to lead their health and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures across the organisation. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide training, health checks, and auditing to promote a culture of safety throughout the company. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards. Collaborate with project teams to address safety concerns and foster best practices. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on health and safety performance. About You: Minimum of 10 years of experience in health and safety, ideally in the structural steel or construction sector. Hold either Tech-IOSH or CM-IOSH accreditation. Proven ability to deliver training sessions and conduct health checks and auditing. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in structural steel and construction environments. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
