Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough is the only Children’s hospice in the East Midlands, we provide specialist end-of-life, palliative and respite care to Babies, Children and Young people with conditions that mean their lives may be shorter than most. We are currently seeking a Marketing Family Liaison Officer to play a vital part of the Marketing and Fundraising team by building relationships with the Family Support and Care Team to proactively recruit and maintain new and long-term relationships with new and existing Rainbows Families. The main aim of this role is to help spread the word about the work we do here at Rainbows across the East Midlands through family stories, campaigns, and fundraising events. In order for us to do this, the post holder will work as key liaison between Rainbows and Rainbows families, ensuring the best interests of the family and the organisation are protected in the media. Hours: 22.5 hours Part Time. Must be able to attend events with families on a weekly basis (evenings/weekends) as required (e.g. weekly Rotary meetings and community fundraising events across the East Midlands). About the role The post holder will also be required to source, support and train families to talk about Rainbows at fundraising events. The person will be required to accompany families to fundraising events (evenings/weekends) to support the work of Rainbows. Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to): Work in the hospice with the Care Team and Family Support Team building relationships and identifying families suitable for representing Rainbows and sharing their stories in cross platform marketing campaigns and at fundraising events. Sourcing new families and new content to meet targets on a weekly basis to support key marketing initiatives, fundraising campaigns and events To be responsible for the management of consent and safeguarding permissions for the use of family’s stories and media for PR and marketing purposes, monitor and check permissions as necessary. To liaise with relevant parties in the organisation of photo shoots for media and PR purposes. Managing family contact database, ensuring it is up to date and regularly checking that our information on families is up to date on ThankQ. Able to attend events across the East Midlands, on a weekly basis, as required, including evenings and weekends to support families at fundraising events where appropriate. Requirements Educated to degree level or relevant equivalent experience Experience of developing and working simultaneously on a number of campaigns, liaising and coordinating with various stakeholders Experience of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds Good working knowledge of all Microsoft 365 software including Outlook, Internet Explorer (or equivalent), Word and Excel Administrative and record-keeping skills Ability to build relationships both within and beyond organisation Further requirements can be found by downloading the Person Specification.
