Key Job Responsibilities Event Planning and Management: Lead, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of strategic events, both external and Makers-led. These include both B2B and B2C events such as Meet the Buyer forums, conferences, awards ceremonies, networking events, our flagship awards, C-suite dinners, webinars, candidate attraction and demo days. Develop innovative event concepts that align with Makers’ brand values and commercial goals, always ensuring inclusivity and engagement. Own event logistics from venue selection and vendor management to scheduling, budgeting, and on-site execution. You’ll staff events with the right internal team members and coordinate their time and efforts to ensure maximum impact and smooth execution. Post-event, you’ll dive into feedback and data to assess event success, using tools like HubSpot to optimise for ROI, lead quality, and audience engagement. Present insights to senior leadership. You'll identify opportunities to showcase Makers' expertise, driving awards submissions and securing speaking engagements for our CEO and senior leaders to elevate our thought-leadership presence in the tech industry. Marketing Management: Work with the Marketing Director on marketing strategies for both B2B and B2C segments to drive brand awareness, engagement and quality lead generation. Support in the management of marketing campaigns across both digital and traditional channels, with a particular focus on email marketing. Own Makers merchandising efforts and stock management Oversee content creation where needed, including blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and sales materials. Lead on CRM management, leveraging data insights, automating comms sequences and ensuring seamless integration to enhance our marketing efforts and achieve better commercial outcomes. Budget Management: Develop and manage event and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources. Track expenses and ensure all activities stay within budget while achieving desired outcomes. What We're Looking For Event Planning and Management Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organise, and execute events, ensuring all aspects are covered from logistics to post-event follow-up. Proven experience in planning and adhering to event budgets, negotiating with vendors and venues to achieve the best value for the Makers community. Knowledge of using social media platforms for event promotion and engagement. You can tackle a problem independently and quickly iterate to a solution, and then also document it in a way that's easy to understand for all audiences. Deep understanding of customer needs and behaviours to tailor events and marketing efforts effectively. First-aid certified and fire warden trained. Marketing Management Excellent skills in writing clear, persuasive content and speaking effectively to diverse audiences. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to assess campaign performance. Proficiency with Hubspot or similar CRM system preferred as well as marketing automation tools. You are a hands-on person, and you thrive in an action-oriented, fast-paced environment. You are passionate about the Makers mission. What Success Looks Like Event Performance Attendance and Registration: Number of registrations and attendance rate. Lead Generation: Number and quality of leads generated. ROI: Cost per lead and overall revenue generated. Feedback: Positive feedback from department heads and team members regarding events management. Marketing Management Campaign performance: Lead generation (e.g. number and quality of leads) and overall ROI.
