The Financial Planning & Reporting Team are looking for an Assistant Business Partner (AFBP) to join the team as soon as possible. This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days at our headquarters at the Lodge in Sandy for month-end (typically in the first week of each month). This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months.What's the role about?The post holder will support the Finance Business Partners and Senior Reporting Accountant with the production of weekly and monthly financial reports and general management accounts duties.The post holder will complete reconciliations and maintain records for budget monitoring and forecasting in support of the Finance Business Partners. They may also investigate variances and help maintain the finance systems.Essential skills, qualifications, knowledge and experience:AAT level 4 qualification or be CIMA / ACCA part-qualifiedNumerate and proficient in using Microsoft 365, particularly excelAble to build relationships within the finance team and comfortable resolving queries with non finance specialistsAble to work at pace with minimal supervision and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlinesProven experience of making recommendations to decision makers through analysis of financial information, modelling scenarios and paying due regard to risk and control issuesProven ability to understand business issues and identify interventions to improve business performanceProven experience of identifying key metrics that contribute to organisational performance and informing managers of such in a manner that facilitates rapid management responseDesirable skills, knowledge and experience:Previous experience as a management accountant or finance business partnering rolePrevious exposure to commercial reporting and or charitable income reportingThis is a 12 month Fixed-Term role, a Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week.
