npower Business Solutions (nBS) powered by E.ON is a leading £5 billion revenue business with a vision to become the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.
Join our team as a Metering Operations Delivery Manager, where you'll lead the delivery and optimisation of metering installation and maintenance activities across I&C portfolios, including NHH, HH, and Gas. You'll guide a team of metering experts, ensuring compliance with complex metering regulations and delivering on regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities
1. Metering Operations Delivery Manager
Lead and optimise metering installation and maintenance across I&C portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations. Manage a team of metering experts, oversee complex metering projects, and deliver within budget. Drive performance through continuous improvement of systems and processes, mitigating risks and meeting regulatory requirements. Develop strategic relationships, manage stakeholder engagement, and influence senior leaders to achieve business objectives.
2. Metering Services Lead
Own customer relationships to develop delivery models, ensuring metering services meet I&C and customer expectations. Manage stakeholders and service providers to deliver efficient metering solutions, optimize performance, and meet contractual obligations. Deliver cost-effective metering services, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
3. Metering Service Provider Manager
Lead the relationship with metering service providers to deliver end-to-end solutions. Monitor and optimise field activity, manage capacity, and ensure performance targets are met. Identify and implement improvement actions to enhance service delivery and mitigate risks.
4. SMART/AMR Rollout Programme Manager
Design and execute the SMART/AMR rollout programme for I&C customers. Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of metering services, ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates. Represent the business with external regulators and ensure governance frameworks are in place.
5. Compliance and Governance Manager - Metering Services
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and lead governance for metering services. Manage assurance reviews, track controls, and influence policy changes. Play a key role in sales strategy, ensuring metering delivery risks are understood and addressed.
6. Departmental Leader - Metering Operations
Lead and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a customer-focused environment. Empower staff, embed a culture of excellence, and drive engagement to deliver outstanding metering services aligned with business and customer values.
What we need from you
Essential
* Detailed knowledge of energy metering and the drivers of successful performance. Understanding the regulatory and commercial frameworks and the operational processes of internal and external teams.
* Ability to operate within a highly complex and rapidly changing market.
* Experienced in directing a multi-functional team of specialists with strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
* Strong organisational skills with ability to balance tactical and strategic business priorities.
* Ability to analyse and interpret complex, multiple sources of data and insight to optimise service and financial performance, provide intelligent commentary and make critical business decisions having an end-to-end view of the metering supply chain.
* Highly skilled organizer, able to manage multiple competing priorities and stakeholders.
Desirable
* Experienced in industry data flows, market interactions, metering communication processes, metering field activity, to optimise end-to-end delivery.
* Enthusiastic and passionate about delivering and exceeding business performance.
* Eager to deploy new (digital) technologies to increase performance and efficiency.
* Creative thinking to find new opportunities and resolve emerging problems.
