We have an opportunity for a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join their team of staff in the theatre department. This is a part-time role for hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Your new role
1. Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
2. Post-registration qualification relevant to functional speciality Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification [for scrub leads].
3. ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
4. Approved / recognised anaesthetic course.
5. ILS.
6. Orthopaedic skill
7. Mentorship qualification
8. ILM3
9. Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
10. Previous experiencing managing and leading a clinical team.
What you'll need to succeed
11. Deliver safe quality care for patients during their pre-operative phase of care.
12. To support, coordinate and actively assist in the management and organisation of care within the operating department.
13. Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.
14. Lead in the delivery of patient care, during a long or specified period of time.
15. Ensure that patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with the policy and that all practitioners adhere to the policy.
16. Contribute to quality improvement.
17. Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self.
18. Promote the best evidence-based practice within your own scope of practice.
19. Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly.
20. Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrating CHG behaviours at all time
