Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Trafford Council, Adult Assessment Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Responsible for managing a caseload within Adult Social services and will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the principles of the Care Act 2014; Empowerment, Protection, Prevention, Proportionality, Partnership and Accountability.
2. Required to complete statutory assessments with vulnerable adults and their carers, demonstrating a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and person-centred care, with a focus on improved health and wellbeing, independence, strengths-based assessments, and creative support planning.
3. Required to be confident working in a multi-agency context in the best interests of service users.
4. Required to lead on safeguarding enquiries as per the requirements of the Care Act 2014.
5. Person applying for this role should be well organised and motivated, a good communicator, and will be required to keep up to date records and confidentiality.
6. Successful applicant will be supported by a senior practitioner and service manager and will utilise supervision constructively to engage in reflection and learning.
7. Liaise with other professionals.
8. 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
9. 2 Month Temporary Contract.
10. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
