Personal specification Software Developer: • Degree qualified (or equivalent) – Maths, Computer Science or Science Degree such as Physics, Biology or similar • Knowledge of programming in Java J2EE/J2SE, C#, HTML5/CSS on web, desktop and mobile platforms • Interest in Research and Development, ideally with a scientific or gaming background • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to discuss and present clients’ expectations to investigate and develop innovative technologies Key Software Developer responsibilities: • Develop cloud and mobile software solutions for emergency services • Work on projects involving artificial intelligence, mathematical algorithms in various programming languages • Investigate modern technologies in line with client’s expectations • Collaborate and work with police forces, emergency services and global clients to develop new response models and capabilities • Work on subjects related to data mining, predictive policing, risk and resource management and intelligence • To work with your team, researchers and clients in a collaborative environment to contribute to the creation of new models of policing, fulfilling unique client requirements
