My leading and rapidly growing MSP client is seeking an experience Oracle Database Engineer to join their Data Ops technical team and provide Oracle Delivery and Support.
This is a customer facing role, mainly focusing on support, requiring hands-on, in-depth technical skills and excellent communication skills. You will be forward thinking, familiar with service architectures, customer focused and self-motivated with the requisite drive to improve database services and the overall user experience.
The role:
* To provide exceptional quality database delivery and support services
* Interacting at all levels with Customers and strategic key stakeholders
* Providing 3rd line database support and strategic consultancy
* Explaining technical concepts and the underlying principles to solutions during customer engagements
* Out-of-hours delivery and support - Via an on call rota for which there is an on call allowance
* Producing a high standard of documentation, handovers and mentoring of both customer and internal resources as required.
Candidates must have the following skills / experience:
* The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Demonstrable professional experience with Oracle specialism technologies, including evidenced delivery and production support experience
* Multiple version and edition capability with Oracle
* Strong analytical ability to support complex problem solving
* A passion to learn and develop skills with new and existing database technologies
