JUNIOR BUYERS - (FASHION AND HOMEWARE DEPARTMENTS)
LIVERPOOL - HEAD OFFICE BASED
THE ROLES
• Responsible to the Buyer to plan, manage, implement and deliver the product development process
Principal Accountabilities
1. Assist the Buyer in sourcing, planning and developing the product ranges
2. Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers as well as source new suppliers making sure all suppliers understand and meet their requirements
3. Knowledge and understanding of the range with the ability to predict seasonal best sellers, core lines and future trends
4. Competitor research and detailed trends reports and market analysis
5. Raise and progress purchase orders
6. Continually review brand performance and sell through rates, against the Buying Plan and monitoring market activity
7. Ensure comparative shopping and relevant documentation is up to date, highlighting where there are any issues
8. Manage and maintain complete sample range and documentation, including colour, fit and labelling approvals
9. Deal with any enquiries from internal teams as well as external departments including suppliers
10. In conjunction with Trading Standards maintain up to date departmental legal, quality and RRP requirements
11. Fully understand and fulfil the requirements of the advertising calendar
12. Responsible for completion and accuracy of advertising briefs, photography and store point of sales
13. Demonstrate effective communication to Buyer and Merchandiser on all key issues
14. Give and receive information on range to service departments e.g. advertising and store ops
15. May attend trade shows / fairs in the UK and abroad
16. Ability to act as Buyer in their absence
