JOB DESCRIPTION About the role The Guinness Partnership is recruiting a Senior Information Governance Officer to join our team in Oldham on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will oversee and lead the individual rights, access to, and sharing of information within the information governance function. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week and offers hybrid working, three days from the Oldham office and two days working remotely. What we're looking for We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of Information Governance, Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Records Management. with the confidence to drive strategy and activities to ensure compliance to data protection laws. You will also be able to demonstrate: Experience of managing an information governance team. Highly structured and organised with attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with highly complex or sensitive facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options. Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms, for differing stakeholders (including business stakeholders. Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours. Essential Qualifications: Educated to Level 6 (degree level or equivalent) or higher. Recognised qualification in Data Protection/Freedom of Information.
