Job summary The Ward Receptionist is a member of the ward who acts as an interface between the unit, hospital services, patients and public. (Position due to begin in July 2025). To perform clerical duties to assist with the smooth running of the neonatal service. 1. To give a high quality of customer care as an integral part of the ward nursing team. 2. To provide general clerical support for the nursing team 3. Manage the input of the neonatal statistics 4. To assist with the general functioning of the ward 5. Respect the right of the patients' confidentiality 6. At all times to work within the Trust's policies and procedures. Main duties of the job To provide a friendly and informative first contact to the neonatal service. Undertaking reception duties, dealing with hospital staff parents and members Of the public in an efficient, polite and courteous manner, answering queries and communicating complex information where there may be barriers to understanding. Persuasion, motivational and negotiating skills are essential Maintaining security and privacy at all times.
