We are looking for a Lead Quality Inspector who has a keen eye for detail and is passionate about problem solving to join our team. Our Inspectors maintain our high standards by approving and assessing products during and after production. This role will lead the department and therefore some previous management/leadership experience is essential as well as being able to demonstrate the following qualities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carrying out visual and dimensional inspection of various machined and sourced components to specifications and drawings.
2. Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes.
3. Approving incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
4. Approving in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production.
5. Approving finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
6. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarising re-work and waste; inputting data into the quality database.
Skill Set
1. Experience of working in a Lead Inspector role.
2. Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
3. Qualification or Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
4. Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, dimensional and visual inspection.
5. Excellent technical ability and attention to detail.
6. Ability to follow processes, procedures, and requirements of ISO9001.
7. Articulate communication skills.
