Financial Controller with a Lyra Technology Group Company
Lyra Technology Group is seeking a Financial Controller to join our growing team. This individual will be working with one of our UK-based operating companies as an integral team member of our finance group. In addition to managing day-to-day accounting operations, this individual will liaise with our U.S.-based accounting team on reporting and analysis.
Your work as a Financial Controller will include several components:
1. Lead and manage company finance and accounting initiatives, including budget, audit, and month-end close processes, utilizing U.S. GAAP accounting.
2. Manage daily accounting functions for: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Invoicing, Fixed Assets, Collections, Monthly Reconciliations, Sales and Use Tax, and participate in these processes as needed.
3. Lead and manage Accounting Operations including systems and processes, attaining goals, and managing special projects.
4. Maintain accounting and finance Standard Operating Procedures and develop recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
5. Own financial reporting for internal, corporate, and peer group requirements.
6. Play an integral hands-on role in customer billing processes, monthly and annual price changes, and billing-related incentives and commissions.
7. Liaise for key business relationships such as: banking, landlord, vendors, and suppliers.
We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented problem solver who is excited about “rolling up their sleeves” in an entrepreneurial and high-growth environment. The role requires someone who can excel as an individual contributor, project leader, and holding company representative to company employees and leaders. Understanding of US GAAP accounting is necessary.
