The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping pupils to develop key skills and knowledge in the field of Design Technology, pushing for academic and personal success at all times.

Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver impactful lessons in design and technology, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive curriculum.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment in which approaches to learning are tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
3. Stay abreast of the latest developments in design and technology education and integrate relevant industry trends into the curriculum.
4. Conduct regular assessment in line with department/school policy and provide constructive feedback to students, fostering their growth and development.
5. Write risk assessments and ensure pupil safety at all times whilst conducting practical lessons.
6. Manage and maintain a safe and organised classroom/workshop environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
7. Participate in parents' evenings, break duties, and other school events as required.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Design and Technology or a related field is highly advantageous, but experienced unqualified teachers will also be considered.
2. Proven experience teaching design and technology at the secondary level is advantageous, but ECTs will also be considered for the role.
3. Strong knowledge of current design and technology curriculum standards.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
5. A passion for staying up-to-date with advancements in design and technology, and a commitment to integrating real-world applications into the classroom.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and supportive school culture.
