The Bread Factory is a Food Manufacturing bakery dedicated to making deliciously crafted bread, cakes, and pastries. We are proud to craft products for our GAIL's bakeries, neighborhood grocery stores, restaurants, and more!
As our teams grow, we are on the lookout for our next Quality Auditor to join our team.
Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:
1. Coach the teams in food safety and quality standards and requirements
2. Make appropriate decisions and determine solution outcomes that assure product safety and quality in conjunction with line and area coordinators
3. Be the primary contact in the event of food safety and quality issues in the bakery areas
4. Manage non-conforming material, ensuring that substandard material is not released to the customer
5. Carry out Good Manufacturing Practice audits by the schedules
6. Carry out Glass and Hard Plastic audits by the schedules
7. Check manufacturing records as scheduled
8. Compile and issue audit reports and summaries, with requirements for corrective and preventive actions as agreed
9. Ensure that root cause analysis is carried out for significant or trending non-conformances
10. Verify and calibrate key equipment following the schedule
11. Carry out an organoleptic assessment of material as per schedules
12. Ensure sampling of product, materials, and environment is carried out following the schedules, and sent to external laboratories
13. Train updated quality system procedures and product information to relevant teams
14. Review competence on a periodic and ongoing basis to ensure that procedures and processes are understood, implemented, and effective
15. Investigate customer complaints and provide reports detailing root causes and actions taken
16. Conduct traceability audits and present them internally and to customers when required; including forward, backward, and mass balance
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. All CCP operatives on site are trained and assessed as competent
2. Product analytical sampling completed to plan
3. Audits completed to plan, with actions agreed upon and close-out within timescales
4. Non-conformances completed with agreed corrective and preventive actions, root cause, and within agreed timescales

6. 2+ years of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a technical role
7. Level 3 HACCP
8. Level 3 Food Safety
9. Auditor Qualification
10. Recognized allergen qualification
11. A basic understanding of customer codes of practice (eg: allergen, labeling and coding, and foreign body detection)
12. Training in root cause analysis methods and tools
13. Train the trainer
14. Proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel
