Westborough High School is a caring, vibrant and happy learning community. We value all our staff and work together to make a difference to children’s lives.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational team leader to join our school. MFL is a hugely valued department and this vacancy will suit a leader who is passionate about the place of languages in the curriculum. You will be supported to build on the current excellent practice both as a leader and a highly effective teacher of French.
Westborough has a strong team leader development programme and there are opportunities to network with other MFL departments. Westborough has an established staffing platform and can develop teachers and leaders whatever their career stage.
Following the Section 8 Ofsted inspection in June 2022, Westborough continues to be a good school and ‘leaders are ambitious’ for the pupils. There is a real team approach at Westborough, where everyone, no matter what their role in school is, wants the ‘best’ for pupils. Ofsted were very complimentary about the culture of the school, describing it as, ‘welcoming and inclusive.’
Applications are welcomed from candidates who:
* Consistently deliver highly effective lessons in French
* Have experience of developing effective teaching resources and strategies
* Have strong leadership skills to enable the successful leadership of the department
As a valued member of our team we can offer:
* Clear and shared values and expectations
* A commitment to tailored professional development
* A stimulating work environment
* An experienced, highly committed and supportive leadership team
If you have the vision and drive for excellence and want to be part of an enthusiastic, dedicated and well-resourced team, committed to ensuring that pupils not only achieve their potential, but exceed it, then we would like to hear from you.
