The Information Security & Resilience Team at Unite Students are looking for an enthusiastic GRC analyst. We are setting up an ISMS and reviewing our information risks, policies and governance framework, so we need your input. There’s a lot of work to be done, but you’ll get plenty of support and guidance, and your knowledge and experience will be invaluable to help shape the direction of our InfoSec capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Develop and maintain risk management framework to govern information risks across the enterprise.
* Perform comprehensive risk assessments and create risk mitigation plans to address identified threats and vulnerabilities.
* Create, review and maintain the InfoSec policy portfolio based on the output of risk assessments.
* Promote a security-conscious culture through education and engagement, embedding governance and compliance best practices.
* Act as a subject matter expert to leadership and the wider team, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively.
* Define and track performance metrics to deliver actionable insights and inform decision-making for Board-level and operational stakeholders.
* Keep up to date with Cybersecurity and Data Protection regulations and standards, maintain an awareness of cyber threats and attack vectors.
What We’re Looking for in You
* Understanding of technical aspects of information security.
* Working knowledge of common IT technologies and processes.
* Working knowledge of common Information Security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001/2/5, NIST800-53 and FAIR.
* Thorough understanding of Information Security Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance concepts and processes, including the ability to assess information risks and select appropriate controls.
* Proven ability to draft clear, concise and usable Information Security policy documentation based on consultation with relevant stakeholders and identified risks.
* Effective communication skills including the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
* Solid organizational skills, including multitasking, attention to detail and time-management.
* Ability to collaborate in a team setting and facilitate conversations involving cross-functional groups.
* Understanding of data protection concepts and regulations, i.e. PII, GDPR.
