New Business Account Handler
Our well-established client based in Stafford Park, at the heart of Telford, is looking for a full-time permanent New Business Account Handler to join and strengthen their existing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business within the company and will possess excellent customer interaction skills, as there will be an element of visiting clients face-to-face. You will be making calls to past and present clients while working towards your targets and helping to achieve the company's growth plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Growing the business by following leads and proactively sourcing new business opportunities.
2. Targeting and winning business to develop your profile within the company.
3. Maintaining a portfolio in line with your individual account targets.
4. Fully understanding the client's insurance needs by undertaking a zero-based review at new business and subsequent renewals.
Ideal Candidate
1. Educated to a minimum of GCSE grade C in Maths & English.
2. At least 2+ years' experience in a similar role is essential.
3. Proficient with Microsoft packages.
4. UK Driving licence and access to your own transport.
5. Excellent customer interaction skills, both over the phone and face-to-face.
6. An excellent eye for detail and the ability to question risk details with clients in a professional manner.
7. Proven history of similar insurance experience and experience of providing specialised sales advice to support customer requirements.
8. Ability to identify and match our products with customer demands and needs.
9. Thorough understanding of quotation platforms & telephone systems.
10. Ability to analyse our panel of insurers and research client demands & needs to establish policy suitability and eligibility.
11. Full understanding of insurer schemes and delegated rates.
12. Understanding of options available to clients who are unable to pay the balance in full.
Hours: 37.5 per week (08:45 - 17:15hrs with a rotating 'late shift' to 6pm)
Salary: Basic £25,000 per annum (OTE £35,000) with uncapped commission (once probation passed).
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, permanent role with 6 months probation, free car parking, pension, basic health care.
Insurance experience would be helpful but is not totally essential.
