Our Role
The Quality Compliance Manager will be responsible for keeping abreast of future legislative changes and ensuring the business has the correct process in place supporting global product compliance. This includes the co-ordination and training of UK and global product compliance documentation within the product teams (Clothing and Home).
The primary objective of the role is to streamline the QA processes and ensure there is one consistent way of working across the business. Ensuring that global legislation is incorporated, where applicable, to allow ease of global diversification. The goal will be to share learnings, collate, monitor, collaborate and delegate so that all team members understand their accountabilities.
What you'll be doing
GLOBAL EXPORT COMPLIANCE
* Work closely with the interim supply chain project manager and sourcing manager ensuring all future QA Import/Export international compliance changes are flagged and effectively communicated to the QA and Buying teams.
* Operate as the key contact and central knowledge bank for Product Team queries relating to international trade.
PRODUCT & CHEMICAL COMPLIANCE
* Maintain signed supplier agreements in line with updates.
* Provide consultant function to QA teams for General Product Safety Regulation compliance.
DATA REPORTING
* Manage legislation compliance data reporting, including UK Plastic Packaging Tax, UK pEPR, EU EPR (including Triman), WEEE and future legislative reporting.
TRAINING & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
* Monitor implementation of processes to confirm that all product compliance documentation is up to date in line with critical paths to be available for key stakeholders to access, including those needed for Imports and Exports. Work with QA team to ensure non-compliances to global legislations are relayed for appropriate management decision and advise appropriate stakeholders of potential issues.
GENERAL
* Operate as the knowledge leader and expert for Global Product Compliance.
* Build trust and partnerships with external stakeholders. Lead remedy strategies when required.
