We are delighted to be recruiting a School Sports Mentor on behalf of an outstanding school. This exciting role is designed for an active, dynamic individual who can support a pupil with challenging behaviour, both during classroom activities and one-to-one sessions.
Role
- Using sports as a medium, the mentor will help the pupil to engage more effectively with their education.
- The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Class Teacher and SENCo, contributing to care, learning, and support programmes tailored to the pupil's needs.
- As a Sports Mentor, you will bring a positive mindset and strong interpersonal skills, essential for fostering the development of children. Building trust and rapport with the pupils will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Providing classroom and one-to-one support under the guidance of teaching or senior staff.
- Assisting teachers with the preparation and management of resources.
- Demonstrating resilience and taking responsibility for agreed learning activities.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with the pupils.
