Known internally as Part-time Careline Operator
1. Location: Call Centre based in Ringwood, Hampshire (you will work on site)
2. Shifts required: 15:00 to 20:00 worked as 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off. This will include weekends and Bank holidays on the roster
3. Salary: Circa £22-23,000 per annum, pro rata for part-time (from £11.28 per hour)
About the role
Our Careline / Call Centre Operators provide emergency assistance and reassurance to thousands of retired Homeowners living in independently owned retirement apartments right across the UK.
As a Part-time Careline Operator, you will work as part of the call centre team, providing telephone-based customer support with responsibilities including:
4. Taking incoming calls and responding to a variety of situations including medical emergencies, fire panel alarms, security entry calls or speaking to people keen to hear a friendly voice.
5. Logging each call in our CRM system ensuring information is accurately recorded.
6. Providing a friendly, responsive, and attentive approach on every call.
About you
As a Part-time Careline / Call Centre Operator, you will be able to:
7. Display a warm and friendly telephone manner.
8. Be calm in a crisis situation and work well under pressure.
9. Embrace and learn new IT systems and technical knowledge with ease and be familiar with customer databases.
10. Demonstrate a high standard of written and spoken English.
11. As a customer service professional, you will understand the importance of excellent customer skills and a ‘customer first’ approach.
12. It is desirable to have a degree of experience in telephone-based or fast-paced customer service environments.
