A vacancy has arisen within our Production Department on ‘C’ Crew for an Assistant Team Leader.
Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, the successful candidate should have excellent bottle making skills, which includes experience of Blow & Blow and Narrow Neck Press & Blow.
The position will attract the appropriate payment within our Harmonised Salary Structure.
Responsibilities:
* Assist machine operators when required, in carrying out quality checks on the bottles to ensure necessary specifications are achieved.
* Assist machine operators in swabbing and replacing mould equipment in accordance with pre-determined cycle.
* Provide cover for machine operators during meal breaks to maintain efficient operations.
* Observe IS machine performance to maintain efficient operations.
* Maintain an effective communication flow between shopfloor and senior management.
* Monitor housekeeping in accordance with company hygiene rules.
* Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures.
Required skills / qualifications:
* Educated to National 5 Level – Grade C or above in Maths, Science and English.
* Excellent bottle making skills
* Experience of Blow & Blow and Narrow Neck Press & Blow.
* Team leadership, commitment, enthusiasm, personal drive, and customer focus.
* Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of glass inspection equipment and bottle faults.
* A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement
* Awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
