Business Unit: Nestle UK Job Title: Factory Warehouse Operator Location Girvan Shifts - Days Monday - Thursday 7- 4.00 pm & Friday 7am - 2pm Salary details - £31,881.00 plus companywide benefits Position Summary We are looking for a Warehouse Operator to join our Nestlé Confectionery factory at our Girvan site to support the distribution department. This position is permanent and full time you will be working with the Girvan team supporting flagship brands. The makers of KitKat, Aero, Yorkie bars & Polo Mints are looking for help supporting the production team doing a variety of roles around the factory - working as part of a manufacturing team to create our confectionery products, monitoring quality of products, work as part of a production to team to operate packing machines whilst adhering to the highest safety and food hygiene standards. Day in the life of a Warehouse Operator Your main accountability will be To ensure smooth operation within the warehouse. Maintain satisfactory hygiene standards within the factory and warehouse, Other key responsibilities will include: - Loading/unloading trailers - Loading/unloading racking - Forklift duties as required - Cocoa liquor tanker offloading - Racking Inspections - Stock Inventory Checks weekly/monthly - All associated Globe transactions/checks - Warehouse cleaning see Warehouse Cleaning Schedule - Visual Standards see Dayshift Visual Standards Cleaning - All cleaning as detailed on Weekly Cleaning Schedule - Visual Standards What will make you successful - You will need a practical approach to your work, along with a great can-do attitude. - You will proactively promote positive behaviours around individual and safety of others - It is essential that you have the ability to work as part of a team and be competent in problem solving skills. - You will have a logical approach to your duties and be able to follow processes delivering compliance in safety, quality, cost and delivery. - Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferable but not essential - role specific, on the job training will be provided.
