Westfield Medical, a leading UK manufacturer of sterilisation barrier systems, is looking to recruit an Clinical Specialist for their Direct Hospital Sales team.
As Clinical Specialist, it is your responsibility to grow the profitability of hospital sales in your given territory (Midlands & Wales), build customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the UK Hospital Sales Manager and other members in the team, along with colleagues from all functions of the company. You will be utilising your knowledge and expertise in the Sterilisation / Decontamination arena.
The ideal candidate you will be working in / or have worked in Sterilisation and Decontamination (private or public sector).
This role requires regular travel across the region, which may require overnight stays. The role will occasionally require travel outside of the UK which may also require overnight stays.
The role reports to the UK Hospital Sales Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
• Create area specific sales and marketing plans, strategies and tactics in-line with company’s overall strategy and targets
• Creating and managing leads, turning them into sales pipeline opportunities
• Leading the project and sales process and closing deals. Effectively utilising internal reporting systems.
• New product and services market launches in the territory
• Development of the distribution and service channels
• Annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
• Area specific marketing according to company guidelines
• New product and services ideas and support in development
• Help marketing to develop WML brand
• Reporting to sales management
• Deliver training sessions/presentations
Metrics
• Sales and gross margin in £ and % in comparison with budget
• Sales pipeline development in £ and hit rate in %
• Activity based metrics agreed separately
• Overdue receivables in £ and % of sales
Key Competencies
• Knowledge of CSSD operations
• Customer relationship management
• Territory management experience
• Strategic and tactical sales and sales management skills
• Analytical and systematic opportunities and sales development
Skills, Education and Experience
• Experience of CSSD operations, theatre or ITU environment – with clinical staff
• Background in technical sales
• Confident in delivering training sessions/presentations
• Any sales and sales management courses are regarded as a benefit
• Driven, self-motivated and competitive individuals, who can engage company resources to service customers and help others to achieve their targets.
Base Location
Ideally based in a location, which enables you to operate in the Midlands / Wales.
