As a valued member of the IDU team, you will oversee the end-to-end process for handling requests related to Communications Data. Your responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and operational security standards
2. Managing requests for witness statements, producing statements and accompanying exhibits as needed
3. Representing Three UK in court proceedings when required
4. Providing first-line technical system support and troubleshooting for stakeholders
5. Developing and maintaining expertise in relevant systems for retrieving and disclosing communication data
6. Understanding Three’s products and services to assess their impact on IDU operational efficiency
7. Maintaining accurate records for audit trails and operational effectiveness measurement
8. Collaborating with colleagues across the business, particularly the Data Protection team
9. Safeguarding the business’s interests
Given the nature of the role, our IDU team operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This may involve unsupervised work during shifts and bank holidays.
Job Description
• To manage the end to end process for requests for Communications Data in accordance with applicable legislation and operational policies ensuring timescales are met.
• IDU individuals are required to routinely make autonomous decisions in order to provide accurate and timely information. The impact of not reacting during required timescales may have a very detrimental effect on the lives of our customers and may also be brand affecting. The ability to work under pressure but still maintaining the ability to make clear decisions and attention to detail is therefore paramount.
• Individuals are expected to manage their own workload and be responsible for the end to end process relating to the disclosure of communications data whilst taking into account legislative requirements and any decisions must be made within the bounds of that prescribed legislative framework.
• Individuals are required to be vetted and conduct themselves in such a way to ensure that vetting is maintained and comply with enhanced security requirements within the IDU.
• Investigate complaints of malicious communications made to our customers, analysing relevant data and referring individual instances to the Police where appropriate and necessary.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations relating to access to adult content and dealing with enquiries and technical issues.
Qualifications
• Experience of liaising with law enforcement and other companies in similar sectors
• Good working knowledge of mobile telecommunications
• Excellent data processing, problem solving and data analytics skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure whilst still displaying sound decision making and reasoning skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels as well as proven ability to work unsupervised
Please note, due to this role, you will need to hold:
• Five years’ continuous residency in the UK
• UK/European/Commonwealth citizenship required due to vetting criteria
• You will need to be within a 1 hour commute of the Reading Office

- The salary range for this role starts at £41,520, the exact salary will differ by job and experience

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.
Excluding retail, our core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
