Job Description
Are you passionate about education and looking to bring your skills into a fun and dynamic after-school role? Or perhaps you're a teacher, looking to do something a little different? We're seeking an energetic individual who is enthusiastic about inspiring young minds, is interested in technology, and enjoys working across different school environments.
Our Client
Our client is part of the largest and fastest-growing education-based franchise for children aged 5-13 years. They teach children how to code by building awesome video games. They have built strong relationships with a number of schools in the area. They are a fun team to work with and have created a warm culture where children's curiosity is nurtured.
The Role
Due to expansion and growth, they are looking for two amazing individuals to manage their after-school clubs. This is an interesting and varied role. You'll be working with a team of coding tutors, therefore you don't need to be a coding expert; what's more important is an enthusiasm for supporting and nurturing children in this area.
* Provide a welcoming and encouraging environment, engaging with children.
* Quickly and professionally respond to enquiries from school partners, parents, and tutors.
* Ensure the clubs are run on time and deliver a safe and fun learning environment (ensuring they adhere to health and safety and cleanliness).
* Build strong relationships with school partners and parents, providing feedback to parents on children's progress.
* Provide feedback to the business owner regarding any operational and team issues.
* Oversee the tutors, managing rotas, organizing training and team development, and new staff inductions.
The Candidate
* This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for anyone who has been or is currently in teaching or has experience working in a school environment. Retired teachers, teaching assistants, or those working in pre-or-after-school care, looking for extra hours or those working in administrative roles are all more than welcome to apply.
* An interest in technology is helpful, although a detailed knowledge of coding isn't required. Full training is provided, so if you would like to add coding to your skillset and get more involved in this, they'll get you up to speed!
* You will need to be computer literate.
* You must have a fully enhanced DBS ideally registered through the DBS Updated Service, with a full clean driving license and car.
* You’ll need an energetic and can-do attitude, with people management skills and strong relationship-building skills.
Terms
* Minimum 10 hours per week.
* The role will be based onsite in any of the current locations around Borehamwood, Elstree, and St Albans.
* The clubs run from 3:15 PM to 5:30 PM, 5 days a week. They can offer flexibility on days of the week if required.
* Salary between £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience.
If you're looking to bring your education experience into an exciting and innovative environment, we'd love to hear from you!
