As a Senior SEO Consultant at SALT.agency, you will lead and deliver high-impact technical and strategic SEO solutions for key clients across diverse industries. You will play a critical role in shaping campaign strategies and complex technical projects while mentoring team members and driving measurable results that align with client goals. Additionally, you’ll support business development efforts, contribute to internal processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to maintain a best-in-class service. Reporting to an SEO Lead or the Head of SEO Client Delivery, this is a senior role within the strategic team, ideal for someone with a strong grasp of commercial SEO, but also looking to develop further leadership and management skills.
What you'll do:
* Directly manage up to 5 client accounts, acting as the primary contact (Client Delivery Manager) and delivering tailored SEO strategies to meet client KPIs
* Support up to 7 accounts in total, ensuring efficient resource allocation and high-quality outcomes
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships, offering proactive communication and strategic advice
* Develop comprehensive SEO strategies, integrating technical and strategic solutions to address client objectives
* Analyze campaign performance and refine strategies to ensure continuous improvement and measurable results
* Conduct advanced technical audits, addressing complex issues like crawlability, rendering, Core Web Vitals, and site migrations
* Deliver actionable recommendations to clients and oversee their implementation in collaboration with developers and stakeholders.
* Ensure technical solutions align with strategic goals and broader marketing efforts
* Mentor junior and mid-level team members, providing structured training and feedback to enhance their technical and strategic skills
* Contribute to internal R&D initiatives and process improvements, refining templates and frameworks to enhance service delivery
* Stay ahead of SEO trends and share insights with the team to maintain a best-in-class service
* Participate in new client discovery processes, providing insights and research for potential projects
* Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with leadership to deliver value-driven solutions
* Supervise junior team members - optional responsibility
About you:
* A minimum of five years of SEO experience, with a successful track record in both technical projects and strategic SEO campaigns
* Proven ability to manage multiple high-value client accounts and deliver exceptional results (preferably in SaaS, eCommerce & Travel sectors)
* Strong client-handling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for client stakeholders
* Proactive in devising and communicating client growth opportunities
* Expertise in fundamental SEO principles, including keyword optimisation, backlinks, content optimisation, user experience, and performance analytics
* Advanced understanding of algorithm updates, including EEAT, Helpful Content, and their impact on website performance
* Good technical SEO knowledge, including crawlability, indexation and page-speed optimisation
* Strong understanding of website technologies such as CDN or CMS solutions
* Proficient in analytics and reporting tools like GA4, Looker Studio, and BigQuery, with the ability to extract actionable insights
* Excellent collaboration, organisational, and communication skills
* A proactive attitude with a passion for SEO and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends
