As the Site Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning electrical projects by determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules and plan shutdowns and installations. You will ensure correct working policies and procedures for each department. You will also be the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) responsible for the maintenance of the site 11KV electrical distribution network, carrying out HV related installation of switching and isolation. As well as maintaining, overseeing and monitoring all electrical maintenance activities, planned and unplanned.
The main areas of responsibility are:
Maintaining of the entire Elton plants electrical infrastructure including, but not limited to
33kV incoming network
11kV to 415V site distribution
Emergency Generator systems
UPS network
The supervision of the Electrical team
Maintenance planning
Budget control
Personnel support and management
Project management for varying sized projects within Engineering scope
The Key Requirements
A good working knowledge of HV and LV Power, Electronic Testing Design, Site Power Distribution, UPS, Generators, Electronic Systems and Electronics Troubleshooting
Qualified HV SAP/ AP
HNC Level 4 or higher, 8th Edition BS 7671 qualified
Electrical & Controls system knowledge
A strong engineering background with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
