JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I’m an 82-year-old woman living in Cwmdare with my beloved dog, and I’m looking for someone to support me in maintaining my active and independent lifestyle. I was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a year ago, but that hasn’t stopped me from enjoying life!
I love getting out of the house—whether it’s for a gentle stroll in the country park (with my walking aid) or a trip to Tesco Café for my favourite oat latte (I’m lactose intolerant, so no dairy for me!). I thrive on routine and familiarity, so I prefer going to places I know well and can feel a little nervous in new environments.
Church is an important part of my life, and I attend every Sunday. It’s something I truly look forward to each week.
I am hard of hearing and have a sight impairment, and I’m currently waiting for cataract surgery. While I have glasses, I’m not the biggest fan of wearing them! My energy is best in the morning, but as the day goes on—especially into the late afternoon—I can become more confused.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I’m looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and happy to accompany me on familiar outings, whether it’s a simple coffee trip or a walk in the fresh air.
