An exciting opportunity to work as part of an experienced Team in Cardiology in an acute setting CCU.
The successful candidate will be able to display a good level of autonomy and management skills and will frequently lead the Team on shift.
In-house training will be given relating to diagnostics and interventional procedures carried out in the area.
Supporting CCU and CDCU in the absence of Manager and Deputy and will be the Nurse representative attending required meetings.
Main Duties of the Job
Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and clinically credible, you will rise to the challenge of providing a high standard of care within a busy 8-bedded Coronary Care.
You will have the energy, drive, and expertise to become part of a well-established team. You will assist in providing leadership and support to the Nursing team and other professional colleagues, playing a key role in developing all grades of staff. You will work closely with the Senior Nurse and Unit Manager to deliver measurable quality improvement in all aspects of the patient's experience.
To be successful, you will have significant experience at a Band 5 within a Cardiac Care setting and have developed an in-depth knowledge of cardiac nursing.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative while assisting in leading a team of nurses. A clear vision for best practice is essential, together with a reputation for professional innovation.
Ongoing support will be provided through clinical supervision, team meetings, and development days. You can expect to have regular appraisals and a personal development plan, with access to further study and opportunities to expand your role in line with service developments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job Responsibilities
A developmental post working to a high standard of care delivery in a diverse setting.
Clinical aspects will differ on a daily basis with a fast turnaround of patients.
The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic Team and work closely with our Cardiology Ward and Cardiac Day Case Unit.
Delivering Level 2 cardiology care to 8 patients.
Supporting the manager and Deputy manager of CCU and taking on responsibility at a Management level in their absence. Delegating staff to patients and risk assessing CCU per shift. Working closely with the Multidisciplinary Team and our Tertiary Centre.
Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Teaching/assessing module and/or cardiac or critical care course
Experience
* Experience of working in a cardiac care setting
* Experience in more than one specialty
Skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills - verbal and written.
Knowledge
* In-depth knowledge of the clinical field
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant policy guidance.
* Able to work all shifts including nights
