We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Night Accommodation and Support Worker who has experience working with young people aged 16–25, and possesses empathy, patience, and dedication to provide exceptional support.
As the Night Accommodation and Support Worker, you will work as part of a team to provide a safe and homely environment for young people in the evenings and at night.
Your responsibilities include arranging positive activities such as cooking, board games, film nights, and quizzes to build relationships and engage residents.
Responsibilities
* Support young people outside of main working hours within housing projects and the community where needed.
* Work with the team to ensure a safe and homely environment during evenings and nights.
* Organize activities that promote positive engagement and relationship building.
* Provide targeted support as directed by the Team Leader, including support with tenancy programs like MOMO.
* Work in a trauma-informed manner, providing appropriate interventions and signposting.
* Ensure young people are aware of and comply with placement agreements and house rules.
* Follow organizational policies, including safeguarding, to ensure safety and minimize harm.
* Maintain accurate records, including case notes, handovers, incident, and safeguarding reports.
* Ensure the living environment is well-maintained and report maintenance needs.
* Maintain confidentiality and securely handle records (electronic and paper).
* Participate in a rota including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, providing organization-wide coverage.
* Complete induction and mandatory training.
* Handle housing management duties, including administration, repairs, safety, and creating a welcoming environment.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Proficiency with IT systems such as Outlook and Microsoft Office.
* Experience working with young people aged 16–25 with complex needs.
* Flexibility in working hours.
* Full Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
