The Estates & Facilities Department at Bridlington Hospital are looking for a dynamic individual to work alongside professionals who care about delivering a first class service. Quality and patient care is paramount, and the Estates & Facilities Team ensure the best service is given. Having specific objectives and responsibilities, the successful applicant will have a fundamental knowledge of health care estates maintenance procedures and priorities.
Able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, you will be expected to provide a flexible and efficient repair and maintenance service over a wide range of services, mechanical plant and equipment within a wide range of locations and complex conditions from Wards and Theatres to manufacturing areas and office locations. You should be able to take responsibility and ownership for statutory inspections under your delegated area and keep records ensuring the trust complies with current legislation.

Main duties of the job
You will be part of the team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive maintenance and installation service across the Trusts Estates, which will be responsive, efficient, financially effective and to a high standard. You should possess good communication skills both written and verbal and be prepared to participate in an on-call rota.
The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative is essential and you will be expected to provide a flexible and efficient service to cover a wide range of mechanical and electrical plant and equipment in varied locations. In particular, you should have an in-depth knowledge of complex domestic water and Heating and Ventilation systems.
You will also be required to work flexibly and take part in the on-call rota. A working knowledge of current HTMs would be desirable.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Knowledge, Training and Experience
Essential
1. ONC/ HNC / HND
2. BTech, City & Guilds or NVQ3 in electrical or engineering discipline
3. Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience
4. Current Valid UK Driving Licence.
5. Technical knowledge across all disciplines.
6. Testing and maintenance procedures for electrical and mechanical services and equipment.
Desirable
7. Degree in Engineering.
8. Authorised Person (LV)
