The hours of work will be 30 hours per week across the Monday - Friday period. (Exact working pattern to be agreed on appointment). Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the planning and maintenance of Oral Surgery, Ear Nose and Throat and Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, Urology, Gynaecology and General Surgery in patient and day case waiting lists as required. Scheduling patients onto an operating session Communicating with various departments internal and external Requesting patient notes to be sent to relevant clinics and wards for pre-operative assessment and admission. Answering the phones and dealing with the query appropriately Carry out regular reviews of patients on the waiting list in line with the Waiting List Policy and make updates accordingly. Compile various ad hoc selection reports when requested. Maintain adequate stocks of stationery and information for patients.
