Active Personnel is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Logistics Administrator in Doncaster. This role is a temp-to-perm opportunity within a leading pipe manufacturing company. You will work closely with the Senior Transport Coordinator, overseeing the efficient movement of goods and materials from the depot to various UK sites. Your role will involve coordinating transportation providers, managing logistics, and ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities Organising and scheduling transportation activities. Obtaining sales orders and planning vehicle movements utilising internal resources and available external resources. Providing support in managing drivers' times and routes. Liaising with suppliers, carriers, and customers to coordinate shipments. Monitoring delivery schedules and tracking shipments. Resolving transportation issues promptly. Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards. Skills & Experience Required 1 year of experience in logistics, transport, or administration (required). Computer literacy to use software for logistics and scheduling. Liaise with the sales team for delivery periods and advise on the vehicle to be used. Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple transportation tasks. Customer service orientation to address queries and concerns. Ability to drive coordination efforts efficiently. Managing deliveries in the most cost-effective way, considering geography, mileage, vehicle suitability, and drivers' hours.
