English and Maths tutors urgently required for in-person tuition in Manchester and surrounding area for learners with special and additional educational needs. We are currently seeking experienced SEN Teachers and Tutors to support learners in Trafford and surrounding areas - we are therefore looking for practitioners who are able to travel to this location. Tuition is in-person, one-to-one in a learner's home or venue within the community during the daytime. We prioritise candidates who can commit to an agreed and *fixed timetable for at least a whole academic term. Our learners need and deserve consistency and we are not able to offer tutors/mentors casual or ad-hoc hours. Candidates must have a sound understanding of supporting children and young people with SEN including ASD/ASC, ADHD and SEMH*. Person Specification: Minimum Bachelor's Degree or strong tuition background experience/qualification Minimum 2 years teaching or mentoring learners with SEND, SEMH or complexities in schools, youth groups or private settings Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update system or willingness to have one carried out Commitment to the overall academic development of learners, including working to re-engage them in learning Willingness to commit to fixed termly timetables without missing lessons due to outside commitments Ability to travel to the above location Secure understanding of safeguarding Experience teaching English and/or Maths Easy online reporting and payroll system PAYE pay Pension scheme Pay: £25 to 30 per hour (varying with each student) All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
